Two ideas coalesced for this new design. After the release of my first range of cufflinks which I based on small details of the ties, the flower design, with its circular form, reminded me strongly of the japanese family heraldic symbol or 'Mon'. At around the same time I had a number of requests for a 'skinny' tie. I've always loved a broader canvas to design on but the simple 'Mon' design seemed made for the slimmer tie and was strong enough to stand alone as a single motif. The surprising combination of lime green and orange is vibrant on this clear strong red tie.
